Soseonam Campsite (2 comments)
The Soseonam Campsite (μμ μμΌμμ₯) is located in a very nice valley beside a clean river about a 15 minute drive (45 min bike ride) from the city of Danyang. It is your typical Korean, drive up and pitch your tent on a small piece of ground. Each camping spot is numbered and my guess is that during the summer it is a first come first served. It is very well lit at night and has a picnic table for each camp site. Other facilities include a field kitchen and toilets. There are no convenience stores (맀μ ) nearby for those attacks of the munchies.

Getting There : While camping at this campsite I noticed a public bus regularly come up the valley from Danyang. The Danseong train station (one stop from Danyang Stn) is also only 5 km / 1 hours walk away.

Looks good. There are a few in this area. How much did it cost? Per tent or per person?
Hi Brett,
I can’t remember for this one, but I stayed in one of the national park campsites just the other week and it cost 1600 won ($1.50 USD), not that I paid it though as I showed up late in the day and there were no park officials around. During the off season you can pretty much stay at these for nothing. In the summer months however it’s a couple of dollars more and you need to book in advance. There are a bunch of them all around Korea. I have marked a bunch of them on this map http://www.brakingboundaries.org/korean-national-park-campsites/
