I had my GPS on the whole cycle trip from Seoul to Busan which makes for a really cool map of the route I took through the country. The flags on the route represent the places I spent the night either camping or staying in a motel.

My son (19) and I (50) are cycling from Ireland (Dingle) to Tokyo. Currently in Shanghai.
We had planned to take a ferry from Shanghai to Nagasaki but recently found that it has ceased running.
This is no bad thing since it meant that we looked at (ferry from Shanghai to Qindao then -) Qingdao to Incheon – cycling down to Busan then ferry to Shimonoseki as an option. I like this as I visited S.Korea quite a few times in the mid to early 80s whilst living in Tokyo and really liked it.
So because this is a recent change we did no research back home in the UK on Korea before we began.
Our time is limited since we have a return date from Tokyo to UK already fixed.
We looked at an atlas and it seemed like about 550km from Incheon to Busan but that is probably by Expressway.
On first look at your route map it seems a long and no doubt scenic route. However it may be to long for us.
Please let us have any suggestions + distances for shortest vs more scenic (and less hilly) routes so that we can better estimate our journey time.
Generally on this trip in hilly areas, we cover around 120km per day on average. We are pretty fit but not mental!
