Dares for Dollars
It’s day 64 and we have now covered over 5000 km since leaving South Korea.
As you would imagine, the mind wanders when you are doing an 8 hour stretch along a boring desert road. I found myself trying to come up with ways to take advantage of the attention that our trip has brought and how we could use this to help raise awareness and money for our chosen charity, KIVA.
After much thinking and many hours, we came up with…
Dares 4 Dollars!
In order to provide a little motivation for you to dig deep, we have decided to give everyone the opportunity to provide us with a dare or challenge. These should be fun and something that we can do as we go along. In exchange for completing the dare, you should make a suitable donation to KIVA. Remember, the aim here is to raise money for the charity, not land us in jail. We can do that perfectly well by ourselves.
Help us raise at least the same amount for KIVA loans in dollars as we do km.
Submission Process
1: Come up with a dare/challenge!
2: Email your dare, along with the amount you are willing to donate, to dares@brakingboundaries.org, write it on our Facebook fan page or simply add it as a comment below.
3: Wait for the BB team to accept/reject the dare. (Please note that while we are on the road, this might take a couple of days. We will respond to ALL dares!)
4: Following completion of the dare, we will post about it on our site and send you a link to donate.
Dares may be suggested for one, some, or all of the team. You choose, but remember – the harder the dare, the more we expect you to donate. The name of the game is Dares for Dollars, not peanuts. Get your thinking caps on!
